Remarks

» None of the mantle/back feathers are pale-tipped, so we would rule out a juvenile. The apparent absence of a white crescent behind the face suggests a Montagu's but Pallid is still a possibility. A correspondent writes "Montagu's, I believe as Pallid should have much more contrast between the dark around the face and the pale collar outside that."
