» Considered as a rare paleartic visitor in Ivory Coast; this sighting could be the 11th record for the country. However the species was repeatedly seen at the same location from February to April 2013 (1 to 6 birds), and from beginning of August to mid-November 2013 (1 to 2 birds) - this single bird was there on November 16, 2013. To be checked on the long-term, but the Eurasian Oystercatcher seems to be a regular visitor in small numbers at the river mouth of Vieux Lahou, at both pre- and post-nuptial migrations
