» According to the distribution range maps, the Common Moorhen is absent southern from Chad and Cameroon (to the exception of Sao Tome and Principe), and, according to the literature, there is no confirmed record in Gabon. However, a family group (at least one adult and two juveniles) has been found in a district of Libreville in February 2021 - photo taken on 20 February 2021
